Preferred Parking at Walt Disney World

A variety of parking options are available at Walt Disney World Resort, including standard parking at all the theme parks and complimentary self-parking at Disney Springs, the water parks and all Walt Disney World Resorts.

Parking is complimentary for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort. This is a great perk considering the parking fees for non Resorts Guests, which are as follows: Preferred Parking: car or motorcycle – $40 per day Standard Parking: car or motorcycle – $20 per day Shuttle, Limo, Camper, Trailer or RV – $22 per day Bus or Tractor Trailer – $25 per day Theme Parks Guests pay one fee for a parking pass good all day at all 4 theme parks—Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Standard self-parking is also complimentary for Annual Passholders. During our most recent trip, in a very random moment, we decided to ask about Preferred Parking... even though we are Annual Passholders who normally do not pay for parking. We were prepared to pay the $40 per day fee, so we were surprised when the Cast Member informed us that as Annual Passholders we get a discounted rate. The fee for Annual Passholder Preferred Parking was $20.00... that is half off the regular fee!

The Cast Member at the gate handed us a Parking Pass (good all day, at all 4 Theme Parks) to hang from our rear view mirror and instructed us to turn on our hazard lights. The parking lot Cast Members then guided us to the Preferred Parking area. After we parked, a Cast Member handed us 2 free bottled waters (we also received 2 more on our way out for the night). We were so close to the entrance and didn't even need to get on the tram! The 4 free waters and the time we saved getting from the parking lot to the park entrance was well worth the $20.00 we paid and actually allowed us more time in the parks, but we really realized the value when we were leaving for the night and we were tired from walking all day... we were so thankful for the short walk back to our vehicle. Preferred Parking was definitely a WIN and we will do this more often for our upcoming trips, especially during the busier times of the year.
