People often think that simply visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" is all it takes to ensure a good time for the entire family. WRONG! Planning a Walt Disney World vacation can be very overwhelming. There are so many details and deadlines to be aware of, especially if you are a first time visitor. Trust me, booking your Walt Disney World vacation with a travel agent who specializes in Disney Destinations (LIKE ME) can make all the difference in the world! First, you need to find the RIGHT travel agent to assist in your planning. While most any travel agent can book Disney Destination packages, not every agent is knowledgeable on the ins and outs of the parks and resorts. It is very important to find a travel agent who SPECIALIZES in Disney vacations. Travel agents who book Disney vacations must successfully pass the Disney College of Knowledge courses and because Walt Disney World is constantly growing and changing, agents booking Disney must recertify each year. There’s nothing worse than booking a vacation online only to find out that a popular attraction or the pool at your resort is closed for refurbishment throughout your stay. Booking with me can prevent things like this from happening as I am constantly keeping up with the changes at the parks and the resorts. One of the biggest misconceptions that I often hear is that booking a Disney vacation through a travel agent is more expensive than booking direct. This is false! The price you pay for a Disney vacation package, regardless of where it is booked, is the same as long as everything is the same (travel dates, package components, etc.). The truth is that booking your Disney vacation with me can possibly SAVE YOU MONEY! Disney often releases promotional discounts throughout the year. Even if I book your package before the discount is released, when a discount becomes available that your vacation is eligible for I will modify your package and apply the discount. You do not have to do anything. If you book on your own, Disney is NOT going to contact you to let you know that your vacation may be eligible for a lower price. You would have to keep checking for any promos that may come out and then you would have to call Disney to see if your vacation is eligible for the discount. Sometimes this process can take hours on the phone. When you book through me, I will monitor for those discounts and take care of it for you, thus saving you time and money! Once we narrow down your travel dates and resort hotel, then we need to decide how many days do you want/need in the parks? Which parks are age appropriate and offer the most rides/attractions/shows for your children? Do you really need a park hopper ticket? Do we want to add a dining plan to your package? If so, which one – there are three to choose from. What is Memory Maker and is it worth the money? Will you need a stroller or scooter rental for anyone in your traveling party? I will give you all the pros and cons to all of the different package components and allow you to decide what works best for you and your family. Advanced Dining Reservations (also known as ADR's) are one of the most important details to Walt Disney World vacation planning for anyone looking for character dining experiences. Dining reservations open 180 days in advance. This means it is always best we start planning your vacation in advance. You need time to research the different restaurants, as well as the details on the different Disney Dining Plans and the dining credits (this can be confusing). I will be able to assist you with all of this. I will also book your dining reservations for you. If this is something you prefer to do on your own, you will certainly be able to. Simply let me know that this is something you would like to handle on your own. I will explain the FastPass process and I can book these for you as well if you would like. FastPass reservations are available to book online through your My Disney Experience account 60 days in advance for guests staying in Walt Disney World resort hotels and 30 days in advance for guests staying offsite.The FastPass system can be confusing as there is a tiered system in Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I will provide you with ride/attraction sheets for each park highlighting which rides/attractions offer FastPasses and provide guidance/recommendations based on the most popular attractions. I will also include any ride/attraction height restrictions so you know which rides/attractions your child (children) will be able to enjoy and which ones you should skip. When you book your vacation with with me, you will have one point of contact throughout the entire planning process and I will answer all your questions and concerns. I will then work directly with Disney on all the details. You will not need to contact Disney for anything. If you book on your own directly through Disney, you will speak with a different person (Cast Member) each time you call.
